Eben Yong

Chief Information Officer

Eben Yong has been with the Health Plan of San Mateo since 1996 and has served as the Chief Information Officer since 1999. Prior to joining HPSM, Eben worked in provider services, member services and finance for a national health plan based in Colorado, and at a health plan in Stockton, California, which is now affiliated with Sutter Health. Eben has more than 20 years of health care experience, predominantly in health care information technology (I.T.). He has realized many achievements as a programmer, manager, and in his current role as director.

Eben received Bachelor of Science degress in biology and biomedical chemistry from Oral Roberts University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He enjoys reading science fiction books, running marathons, many food cuisines, and staying current with computing and I.T. trends. He is involved in a large church in Mountain View, where he lives with his wife.
